THE MEDICINE

Remember: it’s much easier on both you and your pet to prevent disease rather than treat it.

Preventive medicine is the key to your pet’s long-term health

Vaccines and wellness exams are a great start to keeping your pet healthy. Take these opportunities to ask us about nutrition, behavior, and other issues. Other screenings that should be addressed on a regular basis include parasite checks, heartworm tests, oral exams, and bloodwork.

Integrating traditional Western medicine with holistic methods of Eastern medicine.

Through modalities of acupuncture and homeopathy we are better able to treat the whole animal.
Laser therapy is a noninvasive treatment designed to reduce pain and inflammation, and to speed healing.

Our staff members administer laser therapy via a hand piece that emits this therapeutic infrared light in a fast, drug-free, and soothing treatment. The light can treat surface problems such as wounds, as well as deeper structures, penetrating through fur, skin, and fat if necessary to reach damaged tissue.

We focus on comfort and pain management before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Common surgical procedures include spays, neuters, lump removals, laceration repairs, abscess drainage and dental extractions. Complicated surgical cases such as orthopedics are referred to a local surgical center in Longmont/Boulder.

UNITED VETERINARY HOSPICE

Picture
GO TO United Veterinary Hospice
On average, pets age five to seven times faster than people age. This means that serious illnesses can develop in just a few months time. Wellness exams are the cornerstone to keeping your senior pet feeling young and healthy. Simple screening tests can help detect many diseases before they become major problems. Our goal for senior pets is not only to extend their life, but to also improve their quality of life that's why we have the UNITED VETERINARY HOSPICE.
