REAL BUTCHER BONES
These are available from a variety of grocers and butchers. These bones should be large enough that your pet can barely get their mouth around the bone. Smaller bones can cause damage to your pet’s teeth. These bones can be fed raw (if you are certain they are fresh and not contaminated with bacteria) or placed in boiling water for 5 minutes prior to giving them to your pet. These bones should be thrown away when they start chewing off quarter size or larger pieces of bone.
