WE ARE HERE TO HELP

Our main goal at United Veterinary Hospice is to provide pain control and physical comfort to the pet, as well as educational and emotional support for the family until a natural death occurs or euthanasia is chosen.

The United Veterinary Hospice team provides medical and supportive care for aging patients, patients with chronic conditions or pets in need of hospice care. We provide care consultations, acupuncture, laser therapy and massage therapy at one of our affiliate clinics or in the comfort of your own home.

EXPERIENCE
  • Founder of United Veterinary Hospice.
  • Care Coordinator at UVH.
  • Graduate of Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine.
  • Integrative approach to hospice and palliative care experience since 1998.

Dr. Geralyn is dedicated to enhancing the human-animal bond through hospice care. With collaborating efforts of the pet's family and our veterinary hospice team we can provide comfort care for the aging pet.

Remembering the care she provided for her first cancer patient she became aware of the importance of the patient’s special needs & those of the family as well. Since that day it has been her mission to enhance that type of care.

She understands "Death as the final stage of LIFE" and all stages are equally important as we transition. Every living creature deserves to die with dignity and in a peaceful way.

The team at United Veterinary Hospice has the goal and commitment to make sure life quality is a priority until your pet's last days.

  • 9 years of experience as a veterinary nurse.
  • Associate degree in Bel-Rea Institute for Animal Technology.
  • Certified Animal Massage through Rocky Mountain School of Animal. Acupressure & Massage.
  • Massage therapy and other in-home hospice services for animals in the Boulder area since 2015.

Claire was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. Packing only enough to fit in her VW Bug, she moved to Colorado and found “home” in 2006. The vibrant, close-knit and health conscious community was an easy ``love at first sight`` for her. When Claire isn't helping to care for the animals of our community, she is enjoying her time in Lyons, Colorado with her baby boy, 2 dogs, and kitty!

Deepening the human animal bound is profoundly important for Claire in all aspects of her life.

Hospice care is often an after-thought in our society, and it is Claire's hope that the energy and knowledge she delivers will help change the lives of all senior animals she gets to assist, while also empowering guardians with all the appropriate tools and guidance needed for a healthy and nurturing relationship with their pets in hospice care.
